DEscription

Promotion of a circa 14ha site in Steyning through the Horsham Local Plan review. Originally, a small part of the site was proposed to be allocated for 50 dwellings in the Regulation 18 draft plan, however, by working closely with the Local Planning Authority, the site is now recommended by the Council’s planning officers to be  identified for at least 240 new homes.

As well as the local plan promotion, Blue Fox has also acted as lead consultant on the preparation and submission of an outline planning application for up to 265 dwellings. The full description of the proposed development is as follows:

“Outline application for up to 265 dwellings, demolition of No. 37 Kings Barn Lane to provide new pedestrian/cycle/emergency link, provision of vehicular access from the A283 Steyning by-pass, provision of public open space, community orchard, sustainable drainage and other ancillary and enabling works. All matters reserved except for vehicular access from A283.”

The application, which was submitted in October 2021, was also informed by extensive pre-application engagement with Horsham District Council and the South Downs National Park Authority as well as the local community and Steyning Parish Council.

Blue Fox remains actively engaged on this project.
